Mark Michael Ferrer :: Blog :: Using the Internet to Market Your Miami Real Estate

January 27, 2010

When it comes to selling your Miami real estate, you need to know just how to market it properly. Aside from traditional advertising campaigns, you'll find a lot of benefit from internet marketing. There are several websites that buyers use to check out potential properties, and these are just some of the channels you can use.

Another is a broker website. However, this is only possible if you hire a listing agent to sell your Miami real estate property. While there are homeowners who prefer to sell their home on their own to avoid paying the broker an average of 6 percent of the selling price, hiring a broker does have its perks. And one of them is exposure.

Broker websites get a lot of attention from buyers. Not only will you be able to increase the exposure of your home but get to show quality visuals as well, since many brokers hire photographers to take pictures of the properties they list on the website.

Independent listing websites are also great marketing channels for your Miami real estate. Aside from the broker website, search of city-specific real estate website that you can use. There are plenty of these online and some even allow listing for free. This guarantees even more exposure for your home and probably the opportunity to reach buyers who are buying on their own.

But if you are particularly well-versed in the language of HTML and even simple blogging, you can put up your own website. Homeowners with internet savvy find it useful to create their own website since it gives them total control over their listing. There are even those that incorporate video walkthroughs of their home to take buyers in a closer look of the home before deciding to visit it themselves.

However, if you feel like setting up a website for your Miami real estate property is time-consuming, you can still harness the benefits of internet marketing without learning any programming languages through social networks. Many homeowners create accounts on sites like Twitter and Facebook and use these websites to market their homes. This is a great opportunity to market your home the traditional way: word-of-mouth. If you friends who know someone else who is probably interested in buying a home in Miami, you can bet that this person will likely consider your property as his or her potential home. Take advantage of this marketing method to further increase the online visibility of your property.
